The Autodrome’s agenda is packed with corporate and open events

Corporate presentations, audiovisual filming, vehicle presentations, open days, guided tours, heritage routes, school activities… Terramar Autodrome was the stage during 2022 for different activities, which made it possible to host social, cultural and economic events and, at the same time, show the facilities to different groups and profiles.

Awaiting the imminent start of adaptation work for the full reopening (expected for the next few months), the Autodrom has continued to have different activities in recent months. In fact, in 2022 – and the first weeks of 2023 – this activity increased noticeably and, in some cases, acquired a remarkable importance.

Worldwide presentation. The event organized by Cupra held in June, which attracted 4,000 professionals from the automotive sector in different sessions during a week, was the most outstanding. The organizers erected a temporary pavilion, equipped with state-of-the-art screens, mobile stages, virtual performances and food venues and leisure areas, which served for the presentation of three new company vehicles: Terramar, Tavascan and Urban rebel

The assembly was of extraordinary complexity and enjoyed a significant projection in the automotive sector. Among visitors were professionals from all over the world. The president of the Generalitat himself, Pere Aragonès, also attended; the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, and the mayor of Sant Pere de Ribes, Abigail Garrido, in addition to other prominent figures, such as soccer player Alexia Putellas.

Corporate events. But during 2022 we have also hosted various events, organized by various companies and teams. For example, we were recently visited by Alfa Romeo F1 Team Orlen, with drivers Valtteri Bottas, Guanyu Zhou and Robert Kubica, at a brand corporate event.

Other companies, as well as audiovisual producers, have also been on the circuit for presentations, corporate events and advertising shoots. This aspect has recently increased and has positioned the Autodrom as a space frequented by professionals looking for locations, who are looking for unique spaces in natural environments and with the presence of industrial heritage.

Visits for everyone. But in addition to the aforementioned private events, the Autodrom has also opened its doors to the general public. Last year 2022, for the first time, for setting up the Open House Barcelona 48h conference, which during one weekend attracted more than 200 people, who in less than an hour sold out the places available for the scheduled visits.

At the same time, the guided tours service – through the Agis Sitges agency – has regularly offered the possibility to tour the facilities and get closer to their history. Among the groups that have taken part in these routes are also schools from the region, who have been able to learn about the surroundings and what it was like when the circuit began, now a hundred years ago.

Presentations of the project. At the same time, the company has also continued to offer visits to different agents in the territory to present them with the reopening project, which will allow the Autodrom to fully recover its activity, with the organization of jumping championships horses between the months of October and April, and the promotion of motor activities throughout the year.

These visits were attended by more than 300 people in 2022, including the board of directors of the Federation of Entrepreneurs of the Great Penedès and the territorial delegates of the unions UGT and Commissions Obreres. In both cases, they showed their satisfaction with the initiative, which will generate economic activity and employment.
